The Kitchen Boy
The Kitchen Boy is a fictional account of the last days of the Romanov family, narrated by Leonka, one of their servants. As the royal family of Russia are held captive in the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg, Leonka watches them struggle with their isolation and attempt to break free.
The story evolves from a day-to-day chronicle to a suspenseful account of murder and deception, and caps it off with a twist ending.

Robert Alexander is the author of The Kitchen Boy, Rasputin's Daughter, and The Romanov Bride. He has worked in Russia for many years, both as a business owner and for the U.S. government. He currently lives in Minneapolis.
