The Attack

The Attack begins with a crisis: Dr. Amin Jaafari is on duty at his hospital in Tel Aviv when patients from a suicide bomb attack begin arriving in ambulances.  Many surgeries later, Amin is approached by policemen bearing terrible news.  The suicide bomber, who killed more than a dozen people in a local restaurant, was his wife Sihem.  Amin's shock and bewilderment soon turns to outrage, and he sets out across Israel to trace the path of her double life.

Quote:
“Amin, you’re not making sense to me. Things have always been this way, since the beginning of time.  Some die so others can be saved.  You don’t believe in the salvation of others?”
